BLA(C)K FEMMES BLA(C)K VISIONS

Guest curators: Abby Mag, Adut Wol and Aisha Trambas

Artists: Atong Atem, Charlotte Allingham, Serwah Attafuah, Nyaruot Ruth Ruach, Hannah Bronte, New Change and Sha Gaze

Bla(c)k women in our communities go unheard and are often without an expression in the public domain.

Wyndham Art Gallery is honoured to have local emerging curators, Abby Mag, Adut Wol and Aisha Trambas present the visions and voices of Bla(c)k Femmes.

This dynamic trio invites you to experience matriarchal legacies, resistance and nourishment through the art of these young Bla(c)k femmes.  They bring the work of Atong Atem, Charlotte Allingham, Serwah Attafuah, Nyaruot Ruth Ruach, Hannah Bronte, New Change and Sha Gaze, exhibiting photographs, video, painting and installation in an exciting group exhibition, of well-known and emerging artists into the spotlight in the lead up to and beyond 2019 International Women’s Day.
