LOCAL 2016
Artists: Sue Anderson, Aubrey Comben
Sue Anderson is a recognised local artist who has been painting the encroachment of the suburbs into the farming landscape that originally surrounded her home in Point Cook, Victoria, for over thirty years. Her son Aubrey Comben is an emerging artist. He has had early success as a photographer having shown his work in New York, China and Melbourne. This exhibition is both an exciting and relevant response to contemporary issues facing the Wyndham area. Having two artists present their nuanced understanding of the area reflects on how we see ourselves. (Incidentally, LOCAL 2015 was another mother–son exhibition, with Carol Rowlands and Richard Rowlands.)

What a wonderful exhibition – beauty above and humanity below. Such a joy to see you exhibiting together.

So beautiful, I love how your colours make me feel so happy and cheerful – all the time. The pottery vases are also stunning.
Love the works on the Port Fishermen Aubrey, really touches a nerve. Well done!
