TREATED AND REITERATED is a response by local artists wāni toaishara and Anindita Banerjee to TREATMENT 2017 Flightlines – the second site-specific exhibition staged over two days at the Western Treatment Plant. Curated by Cameron Bishop, TREATMENT 2017 Flightlines – involved an ambitious series of bus tours across the Western Treatment Plant, taking over 600 visitors over two days to see nine artists’ responses to this extraordinary site. wāni and Anindita were curatorial fellows, working alongside Cameron to produce this event. They developed a body of work from their insights, informed by their experience of working with the artists, curator and audience. They used material from the exhibition as well as poetic extensions of the project, influenced by the artists’ work.
